Goods from the Easter Bunny

I guess the Easter Bunny really did like his carrots and dip because he stopped by and filled Kam's basket. Kam was so EXCITED, he hardly slept all night. He came in and woke me up at 4 am to let me know that there was a trail of candy from his bed to the living room where his basket was. I had to lay in his bed with him until he went back to sleep sometime around 5. He woke up for good at 7 and was so happy with what the bunny brought him...

The trail.

So excited that he was acting pretty nerdy.

Somehow the Easter bunny knew how much Kam loves Scoob and the gang, so he left him the newest movie in Kam's basket.

Coloring Easter Eggs

My Dad and the kids were here for Easter this year. It was fun to be able to include them in some of our traditions. Kelsey, Kam, and I colored eggs Friday night while my Dad and Spence were hard at work in the basement. Here are a few pics from the fun...

Patiently waiting for the eggs to get colored. He thought they should just be done as soon as he stuck them in the dye, so we had to re-color a few.

Silly face while we waited for the eggs...still.

Just about done for the night. Not too bad of a mess, I was expecting much more. (Check out the sidewalk battle wounds)

The finished product. Kam decided to draw spiderman on almost every egg he colored. I guess spiderman on an egg is much harder than paper, cause I had a hard time seeing it :)

The Easter Bunny decided to visit us on Saturday morning this year, so Kam set out his basket before we went to bed. It was his idea to leave the bunny a note and some carrots with dip. He totally insisted on the "ranch dip" because "even bunnies don't eat carrots without dip". Duh.

Eating the Sidewalk

Kam loves his big "motorcycle". He thinks he is hot stuff when he is driving it, but he is not real graceful when he is on it. I think it is just a tad too big. Anyways, he was outside playing on it this last week and had a pretty good fall. Here are a few pictures of the incident...

He was having such a blast, just peddling along...

Still loving it

This is right before his face skidded across the sidewalk. He has this thing with staring at the ground while he is peddling. He looked up just in time to see that he was heading into the fence, so he over-corrected and his bike went down. I was so glad he had his helmet on because he seriously hit SO HARD! I watched in slow motion while his face just slid on the sidewalk. I was actually expecting much worse when I got to him. He was okay until he wiped his nose and saw blood on his hand. Then came the drama...

I took this picture in the mirror while we were cleaning him up a bit. He wanted "cream" (neosporin) all over it because it makes everything better.

After we got him all creamed up, we went back outside and he actually got back on his bike. I thought for sure that he would never get on it again, so I was pretty proud of him. He even went down again, but this time he landed on the grass. His face looked a lot better the next day, but now we have very defined scabs that we got to deal with in all the Easter pictures. I guess this is what you deal with when you have boys!!

The Belly

My Mom is pretty good at making me keep an updated belly shot. I don't really enjoy taking them, but I am sure I will be glad to have them to look back on later. It is kinda crazy to see the growth. I just want to know why when I am pregnant does my face and butt have to be pregnant too? I seriously hate the chubby face that I seem to sport. Can't wait till summer and I get to develop a mean case of "cankles" to go along with the rest :)

It is funny, because I know I am big, but you don't realize just how big until you see it in a picture. WOW.

Kam tells me all the time that he "loves my fat baby" and then gives the belly a huge kiss. Mom caught this one on film.
A few tidbits of info:
-I am 6 months in these pictures.
-No more sickness at all, now I can't seem to stop eating (this could have a little something to do with the chubby face)
-I feel the little guy pretty frequently, but not as much as I think I should so *surprise* I worry
-I feel like there is NO more room for him to grow in there (boy am I in for it the next few months)
-I have the fiercest heartburn, and I get winded just by walking up the stairs from doing laundry
-He likes to hang out VERY low, so most days I feel like he might just kick a foot out
-Nothing I own fits me anymore and I really need to just break down and buy maternity clothes (YUCK)

Happy Birthday Spencer!

Spencer's birthday was last weekend, and we got to celebrate all weekend long. On Saturday we went to dinner at his favorite Italian restaurant, Ottavio's, with my mom and step dad. It was so delicious! Then on Sunday, we went to dinner at Outback with Spencer's parents. After dinner, we met his sisters at Sarah's for cake and ice cream. It was a great weekend. I think it is safe to say that this years birthday was a little nicer than last year's in Baghdad...

Kam and Spence are the best of friends. Spencer is such an AWESOME daddy :)

Opening his presents on Sunday morning.

Whoa, check out all the candles....we were even a few short ;)

Finishing the Basement

With the baby on his way, we have taken on the task of finishing our basement so we will still be able to have a guest room. I can't wait for this to be finished! It will be SO NICE to have somewhere for the mass amounts of toys that Kam has and just to be able to send Kam down there to play and not be afraid of him being eaten by a spider falling out of the ceiling rafters.

We are so LUCKY to have some talented men in our family. My Step dad, James, and Spencer framed the whole thing out in a couple of days. Then my Dad, Paul, came for a visit this last weekend to help Spence out with all of the electrical. It is coming along quite nicely. The plan is to have it all finished by July, but Spencer has a lot of work stuff coming up and I think the baby's due date is going to creep up on us sooner than we think! Wish us luck :)

Every time I go down in the basement with my camera, I hear moans and groans. Apparently it is not cool to have to turn your head and smile at me while you are working...Oh well, they all had to just deal with it :)

Silly Day at Preschool

Today was silly day at Kam's preschool. I completely forgot about it until five minutes before we walked out the door, so we improvised. He loved his "pokey" hair. I loved the poses that he struck for me...
